Activities

To globally convene people and professionals to contribute to the achievement of our mission, valuing their work, supporting them, and enhancing their visibility through innovative strategies and communication platforms.

Sustainable Agroindustry

To promote best practices, considering biodynamics, for the care of the land and the production of agroecological and organic products, as well as healthy and nutritious foods, ensuring their quality. To foster the demand for these products through the management of local and international markets with adequate logistics. To promote the development and progress of producers, enabling the creation of dignified jobs.

Ciencia para el SER – Agro-ecological Quality

Products: Verify that products have been grown using agro-ecological principles.

Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS): Through strategic alliances, strengthen PGS among producers, consumers and social actors via a shared vision. Build confidence through ongoing knowledge-sharing and training.

Integration and Traceability: Implement a digital platform as required by demand, based on advanced, real-time logistics models. This platform will be integrated with its counterpart on the demand side, thus allowing reliable traceability. Such an integrated system can be achieved through technology such as Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and Blockchain, and assure that registers throughout entire value chains remain unaltered.

Continuous Improvement: To ensure the fulfillment of our commitment, the area of Applied Research and Development will periodically update and revise production criteria so that they remain aligned with scientific, technological and environmental advances and changes.

Agro-ecological Producers – Primary and Derivative Production

Primary and Derivative Production: Encourage production based on known good examples. Design specific strategies that promote their growth and, when convenient, bring about vertical integration.

Educational Programs: Promote programs with training in agro-ecological practices that respect biodiversity and soil health. Such programs will lead to the creation and development of dignified jobs and social equity.

Demand: Promote demand for healthy, nutritious products through the management of local markets and those that can be developed internationally with appropriate logistics, also considering alliances with food sales chains and brokers operating on a by-country and by-product basis.

Legislation

Evaluate national and international legislation concerned with entities, institutions, NGOs and other organs that regulate the production of agro-ecological and organic goods. Foster a sustainable agro-industry by raising public awareness of the importance of healthy, nutritious, affordable, accessible and economically competitive consumer products, and open new markets that generate jobs.

Applied Research and Development

Sello-Investigación-y-Desarrollo

Revitalize research: Promoting new technological development, considering climate change and biodiversity loss, applicable to sustainable agro-industrial practices and the production of healthy, nutritious foods.

Soil Health: Promote on-site verifiable scientific research for the measurement of key indicators, such as microbial diversity, soil structure, water retention capacity and availability of essential nutrients. Promote regenerative practices that restore biological, chemical and physical balances in soils. Back research concerned with biological supplies, ingredients and microorganisms, as well as production techniques involving the use of machinery and methods appropriate for direct cultivation. Foster the use of dedicated irrigation for suitable products.

Seeds: Foster research concerned with the conservation, improvement and availability of creole and other autochthonous seeds. Increase the genetic diversity of such seeds as well as their resilience to climate change, pests and disease. Ensure that management practices are sustainable and contribute to the natural regeneration of agricultural ecosystems.

Highly Nutritional, High-protein Crops: Back research in and promote the selection of crops that are resilient and adaptable to different crops and climactic conditions. Such crops should be outstanding for their high content of essential nutrients, including proteins, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and be grown as viable alternatives in order to meet the challenges of climate change and increasing food demands.

Awareness Raising

SELLO-CONVOCATIORIA

To promote human well-being through education, health, and work within the framework of sustainable agribusiness, creating job opportunities and encouraging healthy habits, allowing individuals to choose freely and affirm their own value system.

Consciousness: Raise national and international public awareness by promoting public participation and consensus. Work towards establishing a public voice that is heard by politicians and authorities of public institutions. Promote a societal virtuous circle that is based on the creation of dignified jobs in the area of agro-ecology, producing healthy, nutritious foods, grounded in agroecological principles. The call of this Foundation is for all men and women who identify with its values to act on a local basis in order to have a global impact and achieve the changes that are needed in the face of the various problems in which the Foundation is active.

It is hoped that the permanence and solvency of this Foundation will enable it to have an impact that transcends time through generations to come. Those who choose to foster the culture represented by the name “Science Foundation for HUMANITY” will continue to feed the noble flame that arises from the virtuous path.

Social Action: We must do the work that is necessary within a given situation and in a given place, through education, labor and health. For this purpose, alliances will be achieved that enable people of modest means to have gainful employment and thereby be able to participate in the consumer market. Such alliances will also train impoverished youth in order to help them find their vocation. The family is the source of education, and families—from children to the elderly—must be allowed to live in conditions in which they can participate in the proposals of this Foundation.
