About

Who We Are

Population growth, misguided policy, rampant consumerism, lack of legislation for controlling food production, climate change, loss of biodiversity, lack of education, scarcity of jobs—all of these affect our health, contribute to social inequality and threaten the well-being of current and future generations. If these tendencies are to be reversed, they demand the uncompromising attention of society and the consensus of those in power in every part of the world for appropriate action.

Mission and Vision

Mission

To raise our consciousness as human beings by promoting a culture that is capable of influencing and adapting to technological change overall, in an ongoing process of knowledge-building that allows for free choice. To influence agro-industry through research and development, focusing on the production of healthy and nutritious foods and the creation of dignified jobs in this area that allow for human development and social equity.

Vision

To be an institution worthy of confidence—one that, through research and other activities, strives for a knowledge- and work-based culture by creating economic conditions of social equity.
